Project Scope

GHC were engaged carry out design of a new nitrogen generation back up facility at TATA Steel in Llanwern . The project entailed the installation of 10no. atmospheric vaporisers  and associated stainless steel pipework systems to replace the current use of steam fed nitrogen vaporisers

The project culminated in a vital changeover from the existing system to the new within a very tight window to eliminate any interruption to TATA steels production

The services  scope included :

• Design of liquid and gaseous stainless steel pipework systems
• Production of isometric fabrication drawings
• Quality control of materials and fabrication
• Full weld mapping
• Site setting out
