Project Scope :

GHC were engaged as M&E , Principal Designer and Construction Manager for the refurbishment of The Friary in Cardiff , a 22,000 sq,ft facility over 5 floors . The scheme was to redevelop the building form it’s existing use to a full BCO Compliant office space .

The project was completed on time and within budget in 9 months

Services included :

  • Demolition and removal of some 500 tonnes of construction waste
  • Construction of new office space , with raised assess floors , ceilings etc.
  • Construction of new break out areas with fully serviced kitchens
  • Construction of new plant spaces
  • Construction of toiler cores , general refurbishment and decoration
  • Fully air conditioned Office spaces utilising 4 pipe fan coil systems
  • New ventilation systems including full heat recovery
  • Domestic Services Installations
  • Building Management System
  • New Essential and Non Essential Small Power System including LV Switchgear , UPS and stand-by generator
  • Lighting Installation with full presence and daylight control
  • Fire Alarm
  • Structured Cabling
  • Testing and Commissioning
